Claui respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and services.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information (submitted through our project request form):

• Name, business name and business address
• Email address and phone number
• Industry, services offered and ideal customer
• Links to your social profiles and your business video (if provided)
• Copies of your logo and photos that you upload
• Content you provide for your pages (reviews, FAQ, copy)
• Billing information, only if and when you purchase a package

Technical Information (collected automatically):

• IP address and approximate location (derived from IP)
• Browser type, device type and screen size
• Pages visited and referral source
• Cookie and analytics data, as described in section 3

We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial or biometric data) through the request form.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide services
• Process payments
• Communicate with clients
• Improve website performance
• Send updates or support messages
• Prevent fraud and abuse

We do not sell personal information.

3. Cookies and Analytics

We use a cookie-consent banner so you choose what is stored on your device:

• Essential (always on): remembers your cookie choice and keeps the site working.
• Analytics (optional): Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that measures visits in aggregate. It is cookie-free, does not use fingerprinting and does not build a profile of you. It only loads after you accept it, and you can change your choice at any time from the cookie banner.

Our request form keeps your answers in your browser's session storage (not a persistent cookie) for up to 24 hours so you do not lose your progress if you refresh the page. That data never leaves your device unless you submit the form, and it is deleted automatically when the session ends. See the Cookie Policy for details.

4. Third-Party Services (Processors)

We only use providers that we need to deliver the service, and they act on our instructions:

• Formspree (or Forminit, if we switch providers): receives the information you submit in the request form, including uploaded files, so we can read it and reply to you.
• Vercel: hosts the site and processes technical data such as IP addresses and request logs.
• Plausible Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics, only if you accept it.
• Stripe: processes payments, only when you buy a package.
• Email providers: deliver the messages we send you (transactional email and, if subscribed, updates).
• Registrar and hosting partners: only if you ask us to register a domain or host your site, and only for that domain or account.

Each processor handles data under its own privacy policy and our data-processing agreement with them. You can ask us for the current list of processors.

5. Data Retention

• Form submissions (including uploaded files) are kept for up to 12 months unless a project is active, in which case they are kept for as long as the project lasts.
• Your in-progress form data in your browser is deleted after 24 hours or when you clear it (see below).
• Billing records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law.
• Analytics data is kept by Plausible in aggregated form and does not identify you.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

7. User Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, users may have rights to:

• Access personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion
• Withdraw consent
• Request data portability

Delete the data stored on this device: this removes your in-progress form answers and your cookie choice from this browser only. It does not delete what you already sent us; for that, email us and we will delete it within 30 days.

8. International Users

Your information may be processed or stored in countries outside your jurisdiction. By using our services, you consent to such transfers where permitted by law.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted on this page.
